I recently changed my (IIS) web server from php4 to php5 and after a couple of teething problems I now see php5 installed correctly.

The problem is however now on my wordpress site I see this:

"Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL which is required for WordPress."

However it appears to be not just wordpress, but rather something is wrong with the MySQL side of things as phpinfo() doesnt show any mysql information.

I searched high and low and followed many a tutorial but I cannot get past this problem.

    Please someone help!

This isn't a general server setup forum it is for wordpress. Now after you get your server working correctly then come back if you have any wordpress problems.
