Your opinions on my DVD news/blog site?

    Hi there,

    I’d like to hear peoples opinions on my new WWE (Wrestling) DVD News/Reviews/Blog site – http://www.wwedvdnews.com

    I decided I’d create this news/blog site about a month ago after thinking I keep up to date with this type of news myself and that I would enjoy writing about it. Once running, I then got a few other people on board to contribute with content.

    So what do you think? This is with a <4 weeks experience with WordPress but some past experience with HTML and such. I appreciate any feedback and criticism.

    It’s a pretty simple, functional layout for the most part, which is good in my view. I like the minimalist presentation of the posts on the home page, with the single line synopsis.

    I think the header graphic is way, way too busy with all of those DVD covers in the background. It’s hard to read and is easily lost in the noise of all that advertising. That’s another issue, actually. I understand your need to advertise, but I think you need to tone it down a bit. I would get rid of the google ads in the posts themselves, which are distracting from your content. And I would certainly get rid of that banner in the header. It is comparable in size and competes too much visually with your header graphic.

    I’m seeing a lot of validation errors, which you might want to take care of.

    You have a nice layout, but it loads very slow, i check the page speed, it is 69/100.
