    Hi all,

    I just installed backupwordpress and try to execute manually. The process returns: Your BackUp Failed (with stacktrace) (below)

    I have tried all suggestions from the faq (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/backupwordpress/faq/), but unfortunately the problem remains.

    Stacktrace:

    Fatal error: Uncaught exception \'RuntimeException\' with message \'SplFileInfo::isReadable(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/..) is not within the allowed path(s): (/php_sessions:/tmp:/var/www/errors:)\' in /wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress/hm-backup/hm-backup.php:825 Stack trace: #0 /wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress/hm-backup/hm-backup.php(825): SplFileInfo->isReadable() #1 /wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress/hm-backup/hm-backup.php(752): HM_Backup->zip_archive() #2 /wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress/hm-backup/hm-backup.php(618): HM_Backup->archive() #3 /home/vol4/byethost in /wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress/hm-backup/hm-backup.php on line 825 <iframe src=\'http://ifastnet.com/pop.html\' name=\'frame1\' scrolling=\'no\' frameborder=\'no\' align=\'center\' MARGINWIDTH=\'0\' MARGINHEIGHT=\'0\' height = \'10px\' width = \'10px\'> </iframe>

    Any tips would be welcome!?

    Thanks and cheers,
    Igor

    Hi Igor,

    Could I ask, are you using version 2.1.1? I though I had fixed this issue in that version.

    Hi Tom,

    I'm using Version 2.1.1 (downloaded today). Unfortunately, the message does not mean much to me. Is there maybe a kind of 'patch' available until a fix in some upcoming version?

    Thanks for your quick reaction, much appreciated!

    Cheers,
    Igor

    Hi, I'm sorry for the late response.. It seems that I'm still facing the same message, but I want to investigate a bit more and provide more specific information. Will get back to this soon! In any case: thanks in advance!

    Cheers,
    Igor

    Hello Tom,

    The problem is still there. It doesn't matter if i only backup the database or only the files or both.

    `Fatal error: Uncaught exception \'RuntimeException\' with message \'SplFileInfo::isReadable(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/test/83.137.194.86/usr/share/terminfo/c/console) is not within the allowed path(s): (.../usr/lib/php:/usr/php4/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/usr/local/php4/lib/php:/tmp)\' in /wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress/hm-backup/hm-backup.php:826 Stack trace: #0 /wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress/hm-backup/hm-backup.php(826): SplFileInfo->isReadable() #1 /wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress/hm-backup/hm-backup.php(753): HM_Backup->zip_archive() #2 /wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress/hm-backup/hm-backup.php(619): HM_Backup->archive() #3 /wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress/classes/schedule.php(518): HM_Backup->backup() #4 /wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress/admin/actions.php(65): HMBKP_Scheduled_Backup->r in /wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress/hm-backup/hm-backup.php on line 826

    Can you please help? It is just on this website...
    Thank you
    Jeroen

    Hi Nashua,

    I'd love to get to the bottom of the issue your seeing as your not the only one seeing it and I'm unable to reproduce on any of my test systems.

    Could you email me at tom@hmn.md and I'll debug the issue with you further.

    Many thanks.

    Tom, if you need more guinea pigs who have this problem, I could volunteer as one.

    same problem here to. version 2.1.3.
    im thinking that is maybe an access problem to the files on the server.
    i speak with the server company and i ask for permission to the files.

    for right now im waiting for resolve from the both sides.

    Hi Tom,

    Version 2.2 seems to fix the problem indeed. Many thanks!

    I will verify in next days if- and how restoring the site works well with the resulting zip-file of the backup by BackUpWordPress.. ;-)

    Thanks and cheers!

    Backing up failed with 2.1.

    Works with 2.2.

    Thanks, Tom!
