   Greetings,

   When it rains it pours. We were recently hit with the yahoo.cn malware much similar to the go00ogle virus. We were able to remove the inserted code in our index.php files. So now our blog is free and clear of the virus but ever since we've been having issues posting posts.

   When we attempt to make a new post the first time will now always fail with this error:

   Your attempt to edit this post: “YOUR POST HERE” has failed.

   Please try again.

   From here we go back to the Dashboard where we see our failed post was partially saved as Draft. Now when we Edit the Draft it will Save.

   Has anyone seen this issue and if so, what is the fix?

   Hello, this is the exact problem I am having... I don't know how to fix it but I've opened a support topic here.

   Try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

   Hi esmi, thanks. I had already tried that but just to be sure I tried it again.

   Still no luck. For every Post I have to first save a Draft then I can finish the editing and then it will Post.

   So there's at least a workaround but it sure would be great to get it fixed. This triples the time it takes to make Posts.

   I am not having this problem, but one of my client's is. I have trying it from my com and post works fine. Client uses their com and problem as above...

   I'm having this problem after upgrading to 2.9. And 2.9.1 didn't seem to fix it. Anyone?

   I am also having the same trouble with 2.9.2. Anyone have any ideas?
   We removed all plugins via FTP and then reinstalled them. No help.

   My blog has this weird editing problem. It won't add tags or upload pictures. It has been going on for 3 days. I thought maybe I had a storage problem but my blog is self-hosted. I am absolutely clueless:S

   Autosave in WP Backup was the problem. Disabled it and all works fine.
