I've updated my wordpress to 2.8.1 on my blog and apparently i cannot use one of the plugin installed because it gives me the following warning: You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.
After reading some topics here on the forum I understood that the new version of wordpress will block some plugins. I didn't understood exactly why and what is the criteria on which they did this, but I really need to use this plugin.
It is a books read plugin (Now Reading) I am very fond of and has a big database of all my reads, reviews and other stuff. So I really need to make it work. Can anybody help me, please?
Thanks
through host control panel see who the ftp server owner is and make sure the plugin has the same owner/permissions

Can you tell me where I can find the plugin permissions?
Should they be in a specific file?
Thanks

Sorry. I found out how to change permissions.
I changed all the files permissions to 777. But it is still not working.
How can I change the owner?
Thanks
I'm talking about user permissions on the server
basically, there is a master user or owner
this is the one that needs to be logged in to effect these changes

so let's say I have the ftp user named karl
I should login into the wordpress as karl?
aka change the ftp username or the wordpress username?
do not change any names
ask your host to have sever permissions set to same owner

hmmm...
I'll ask that.
In the meantime, I have made a new ftp account with the username admin.
I worked like a charm.
Thanks a lot.
