  • I managed to save a site killed by a recent update of All-in-One Event Calendar by re-naming the All-in-One Event Calendar plugin folder to something like: junk-all-in-one-event-calendar

This enabled me to access admin again.

Had the same issue on our live site, last Wednesday, when trying to update version 1.9 to the “Standard Calendar” for free. My solution was to delete the /wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar
    and /wp-content/themes-ai1ec folders.

I then uploaded copies of the original 1.9 to the plugins folder. and the same with the themes-ailec folder.

I tried this on a new development server today and ran into the same thing.

    Hi there,

Solution is indeed mentioned and it works fine with me

It seems like you may have had some issues during installation.

Can you please ftp to your site, and copy the files from
    wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/themes-ai1ec
    to
    wp-content/themes-ai1ec.

    Overwrite any old files.

This will update your core theme files.
