    Hi,

I’m using Yoast WordPress SEO v 1.0.2.3. When using it, do I also need to have Google XML Sitemap installed or does Yoast take care of that?

On a related note, something else. I find that if I go to http://www.mysite.com/sitemap.xml, it returns a page not found. Is that a big deal? I’m not sure if Yoast is supposed to automatically redirect sitemap.xml to sitemap_index.xml or if I’m supposed to do something manually or if it’s not a big deal.

    Thanks a lot.

[Stop bumping!. If it’s that urgent, hire someone.]

  • wordpress seo will take care of everything, you dont need to install a separate google xml sitemap, you can find the settings of xml sitemap under the wordpress seo settings, thats why wordpress seo claims it to be an all in seo because xml sitemap is also part of optimizing your site since the plugin have this function.
