Yoast meta tags not showing in header -are Meta Tags the same as meta keywords?

    Hello,

    I’m reading the Moz guide to SEO and also have the Yoast plugin installed.

    I have inserted a ‘Focus Keyword’ a ‘Meta Description’ and ‘Meta Keywords’ in the Yoast SEO form for my pages.

    However the Moz guide links to a google tutorial which advises inserting meta tags in the head section of the page.

    When I view the header.php for my theme, none of the above inputed into yoast is showing.

    Should I insert my meta description manually in the header??
