So... I've read all posts in this forum talking about this error. The first symptom was the "Google suspicious site" sign on my site so I though it was about the MediaTemple exploit. I've taken care about the database and runned all the scripts MT provided. Changed passwords, deactivate plugins... But the problem was still there.
Then I started modifing the wp-config.php as said in many sites. The blank spaces before and after the file. I did the same with wp-login.php, wp-pluggable.php and looked for more php files with this kind of error.
I've re-installed WP and uploaded some backup files in the wp-includes folder.
Even deleted some WP-CACHE lines in the wp-config.php as said by someone on a post in this forum. I thougt the error was no more. Fail.
Now I'm really lost and I really need to use the site. Can`t post articles, not even login.
I have spent so much hours trying to make the site just the way I like that it's a shame deleting the whole thing and making a clean installation.
Some thougts before pressing the BIG RED BUTTON?

Try downloading WordPress again and use the wp-config-sample.php to create a new wp-config.php file for your installation. Then, replace your current wp-config.php file with the new file.

Thanks James, that helped. But the error is still there. Now in wp-includes/functions.php:1
Any more thoughts?

Try downloading WordPress again and delete then replace your copies of the /wp-admin/ and /wp-includes/ directories with fresh copies from the download.

Thanks a lot. It took forever via FTP but I could finally solve the headers error.
I uploaded /wp-admin/ and /wp-includes/ folders and the error was no more.

I have the same error, did the same steps as mentioned above. But it did not work. Any tips?

I also have the same problem. At first the error only appears when I update something through the dashboard. But now I can't even log in.
Here is the error:

Ever since I've started my site, I only used FileZilla once. I do everything through the WP dashboard. I'm not sure if that's the cause of the problem. So I was trying to follow the instructions and trying to download WP again. I installed WP through Fantastico so this is really hard for me. I can't find the /wp-admin/ and /wp-includes/ directories. I've already downloaded the latest version of WP and I don't know what to do next. Please help. I just need a little more instruction that can get me through this. Thanks. I would really appreciate it.

When I had this problem, what worked for me was to change the theme and removed an anti-spam plugin. I forgot the name of the plug in, but I would recommend deactivating your plugins to see which one is causing the problem.

check your php.ini, make sure [output_buffering = 4096]. may be it will works!

Could anyone explain to me how do I uploaded /wp-admin/ and /wp-includes just to solve the headers error.

That won't help. FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) and delete the wp-content/plugins/google-affiliate-network folder.

Took me a month to find the solution but mine was in the wp-config file. There were two lines at the end of the code after the ?>. Once I deleted those all was fine.

I had to work my way through each error to find the files that were affected and there were a couple of lines where the code was not aligned with the hierarchy above it. Not sure whether "correcting" this made any difference, but it did not solve the problem completely until i did the above. GOOD LUCK - its a very frustrating error.
