I’m still getting this error. Don’t know what Yahoo’s problem is.

I am running WP 2.2 also getting a Yahoo error, it happens when the XML Sitemap plugin by Arne Brachhold (I’m running version 3.01) tries to ping Yahoo about the changes in your blog.

If you copy the link in view result to a new browser window, you get to see this error:

It seems that Yahoo is not accepting the uncompressed XML file, which in my case is half a meg (509 Kb) so it’s probably too big.

But perhaps Yahoo did accept the compress Sitemap.xml.gz version? I hope so.

In this post I described a workaround that seems to work for me.

@karels74 – Nice work – that did the trick perfectly! Thanks!

Yes, that did the trick! I don’t know why Yahoo suddenly started requiring Application ID’s, but it definitely works with them.

I am continually getting a yahoo error, using wp 2.3.1 and had to roll back to sitemap 3.0b10

XML Sitemap Generator for WordPress 3.0.2 is out and fixes the problem.

I also receiving an error with yahoo.

Hello, there is a little update on the versioning inconsistences of this plugin … I have updated the post.
