Ok, So I have done my homework and noticed that someone had the same issue I am having with Yahoo! and the file manager. I am trying to connect to my Yahoo! account via FileZilla and am unable to connect.

Following is the problem I am trying to fix:

My initial thought is because I installed WP as my homepage that FileZilla is having issues with the userid and password for WP vs my site userid and password. I have tried both, so I am thinking I need to sync my WP and Yahoo! account userid and passwords.....

Filezilla doesn't really care about your WP username and password. It only uses the site's userid/password.

I checked and logged into Yahoo! got in fine, then FileZilla and I can't get in...any thoughts on troubleshooting?

    Thanks for the quick response.

To be honest, Y! kinda scares me :-)

Is there a control panel of some sort as part of their hosting? I'd poke around there and see if you need to setup add'l credentials for FTP use.

I helped someone do a WP install on a Y! account recently and was able to FTP to it just fine. But they took care of getting the user/pass for me so I'm rather fuzzy on what was involved.

ok, so now this is really bugging me and I think it's a bug:

    Help files in Yahoo!

    http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/webhosting/gftp/gftp-09.html

I did everything to spec. You were right with adding FTP access. But I can't even login as the admin which works when I go through the Yahoo! webhosting admin.

I am about to move to Bluehost.....

I think this is the article you want: http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/webhosting/pwdprotect/pwdprotect-08.html

And personally, I don't think you'll find many volunteers here that'll beg you to stay with your current host...
