Before I go to trac, I want to ask here if anyone ELSE has this problem.

My blog works fine with stuff like Mars Edit, but when I try and hook up the WordPress iPhone app, or Formspring’s auto post to your site, it tells me there’s no blog available.

    Is it just me?

  • Probably not just you. It’s been picky in the past, but my brain is fuzzy in this area becasue I don’t use it.

Last I knew (We haven’t installed 3.0 yet with our clients) you had to turn it on as it defaulted to being off on newly created blogs. Have you turned it on?

I did (and then went and checked ‘Wait, did I…’).

This was a site that was upgraded from 2.9 single to 3.0 Multi, and it WAS working before I switched to multi site.

The iPhone app is very picky about the Blog URL. When you enter it, make sure that you enter it with no http:// and no trailing slash. If you include either of those, it will not be able to find the blog.

    Did that.

Same problem on subfolders and subdomain installs.

And this isn’t JUST the iPhone app. I tried to hook up Formspring and it crapped on me too. I’m thinking it’s something about the way the XML/RPC stuff gets called in MultiSite that’s different from Single Site.

That’s possible. I used to use XML/RPC with WP 2.9, but I’ve only been using the iPhone app since, so I really can’t offer much more than speculation. Sorry. πŸ™

If you’re using MultiSite 3.0 with the iPhone, can you try deleting and re-adding you blog? I suspect it’ll break it, though, so…

I think I’m the only mod here who hasn’t used MultiSite yet. πŸ™ Sorry.

I think I’m the only mod here without an iphone. πŸ˜‰ (for hundreds of miles even)

You can duplicate this by trying to hook up your Formspring account to a WP MultiSite blog. It just doesn’t work. Can’t find the blog.

Having the same problem here, actually – setting up a plugin that cross-posts across sites (theoretically between the sites within the multisite network) and it’s telling me that the request returned no blogs. πŸ™

BTW, this is a MS installation from scratch, and none of the blog addresses are giving me anything.

Has this been resolved? As I can not get my multisite to work with the WordPress iPhone App.

I can get it to work with the Blogpress iPhone App but not all of my writers have this paid app.

broniors – Posting the same thing multiple times doesn’t help.

Yes it’s resolved. The iOS app works fine now for MultiSite. if you’re having problems, make a new post with what, specifically is wrong πŸ™‚
