    Hi Tony,

This is an informational message telling you that you already have an XML Sitemap for your site and asking you if you want to delete it or rename it. If you’re trying to create or update your XML Sitemap using All in One SEO Pack, XML Sitemap module then you can choose either option and All in One SEO Pack will generate your new up to date XML Sitemap and notify Google and Bing about it.

Make sure you’re not using another plugin to generate your XML Sitemap and if you are then decide which plugin you want to use.

    Hi wpsmort,

Thanks a lot by your information!

I was using at the same time another plugin… now the other is off…

I created myself two new files, sitemap.xml and sitemap.xml.gz

and updated the XML Sitemap module, but i get this result:

    http://www.obrasdarte.com/sitemap.xml (blank)

    Am i doing something wrong?

    Thanks and Regards,

    Tony

    Hi Tony,

With All in One SEO Pack you don’t need to create any files. We dynamically generate the XML Sitemap whenever a robots visits the URL so that means there is no static file that could get deleted, overwritten or become corrupt or stale and it means that the dynamically generated sitemap is always current and up to date.

Delete any sitemap.xml files you have created in the root directory of your server and then click the Update Sitemap button followed by the View Sitemap link. If you still see a blank screen then clear your browser cache and history. If that doesn’t resolve it then send me the link to your XML sitemap.

    Hi wpsmort,

    I deleted the sitemap.xml and sitemap.xml.gz.

Cleaned cache of webbrower, histoy and site cache.

Then, i get an error, going to address: http://www.obrasdarte.com/sitemap.xml

    Please, see here: http://clip2net.com/s/ixfjLe

    Thanks,

    Hi Tony,

Can you try flushing your permalinks by going to Settings, Permalinks in WordPress. You don’t need to change anything, just visit that page.

    Hi Tony,

Try unchecking the Dynamically Generate Sitemap option under All in One SEO, XML SItemap.

    Hi wpsmort,

I have unchecked, and when i tried to update, i get this message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 81 bytes) in /home/obrasdarte/www/wp-includes/post.php on line 628

Now when accessing http://www.obrasdarte.com/sitemap.xml, i get the same page from the main page.

Ok cool. There’s the problem then. PHP is running out of memory before it can generate the XML Sitemap so you’ll need to increase the memory allocated to WordPress by following the instructions here – http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP. Also try enabling Sitemap Indexes and Pagingation if you have over 50,000 URLs on your sitemap – http://semperplugins.com/documentation/xml-sitemaps-module/#enablesitemapindexes

If that doesn’t work you may need to contact your hosting provider.

    Tony
