    i just installed Flock, the new browser with built-in blogging. I enter my information and it says that "there was an error in detecting your blog settings."

    ive tried various programs and they all have the same error so it has to be the xml-rpc. how do i fix this?

    It's really a Flock support question, isn't it? Have you checked there? What do your flock logs say?

    logs should be in C:\\Documents and Settings\\YOURUSERNAMEHERE\\Application Data\\flock\\browser\\Profiles\\xxxxxxxx.default\\log\\blog.log

    Open your .htaccess file on the server and add this...

    <Files xmlrpc.php>
    SecFilterInheritance Off
    </Files>

    This should solve the problem.
