   I am trying to import an exported XML file from one blog to another.

   the Current blog is http://www.hotheadgames.com/blog - Using Version 2.3.3. The new blog is in development and currently private. It is using Version 3.1.3.

   I have successfully Exported the XML file from the first account, but when I try to import it into the new one, I receive this message: "Sorry, there has been an error. This does not appear to be a WXR file, missing/invalid WXR version number.\"

   I'm not sure what the problem is with the import. Can you please help? I reviewed comments on other forums, and tried some of the suggestions, but it is not working. Version issue perhaps?

   The difference between the two WordPress versions is too great.
