I have been using XAMPP for the longest time for local WP installs, but was curious about WAMP. Any thoughts about which one a better for local use? Pros vs. Cons?

    Thanks!

Personally, I use EasyPHP. Very stable and very easy to set up.

Nope. It's all included. Have a look at http://quirm.net/2011/05/05/installing-wordpress-locally-using-easyphp/ for WP-specific configurations.

I have tried EasyPHP but just could not get it working on my Windows 7 32-bit machine. I followed the link that was posted to install, but just wouldn't work after installation. XAMPP works for me, but seems a little system intense compared to other offerings. Any other thoughts on software or help to install easyPHP?
