WordPress PopUp
[resolved] X Close box removal? (13 posts)

Is there any way to edit the code to remove the "close box" X in the left corner?

I love the both the "never see this again" user click function and/or the "don't show this if viewed less than x times" rule, which make the X useless and a bit of an eyesore on my site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Love this plugin! This would put it over the top for me.

And (lol, I'm back), to further help the use of the "don't show this if viewed less than x times" rule, is there some way to make it return after like 12hrs or 24hrs or would they need to clear out their cookies or something? It just seems like you'd want the person to see the pop up again if they came back after a certain amount of time. Right? Or am I pissing in the dark on this one?

  3. Hello there @NewfoundOrg, I hope you're well today!
Please excuse us for the long waiting time...

Do you still require assistance on this issue?
It should be a simple css fix.
Could you please post a link to your site so that I may see it in action and provide the proper css for you?

    Cheers,
    Ari.

  5. I just visited your website and I did not see the popup...
Do you have any conditions active?
Does the popup only appear to certain visitors and not others?

    Please advise,
    Ari.

There is definitely a pop up on that page, it's just set to take a second or two before popping.

  9. If you edit that popup, you'll see a list of conditions.
Could you please check these conditions and tell me what you're using?
The available conditions for the popup are these:

    Visitor is logged in
    Visitor is not logged in
    Visitor has never commented
    Visit via a search engine
Visit not via an Internal link
    Visit via specific referer
    Popover shown less than
    On specific URL
    Not on specific URL

Let me know what conditions you've activated on that popup because I don't get a pop-up on that page!

    Cheers,
    Ari.

My only condition is "On specific URL": http://www.newfoundjournal.org/current-issue/

I've just removed that condition and now it's showing up on all pages. Hopefully, this will help you help me. :)

  11. Try adding this in your theme's stylesheets:
    div.visiblebox a#closebox { display: none !important; }

    I hope that helps!

    Cheers,
    Ari.

  13. :) I'm glad I could help!

    Take care,
    Ari.
