WYSIWYG Way to Edit Theme? (5 posts)

I'm sorry if this has been addressed before. My searches on WYSIWYG and edit come up with advice for editing posts, not the theme itself. I posted a similar question myself a week or so ago and now I can't find it.

Anyway, I would like to edit my paid-host WP theme via a WYSIWYG program, the way I edit my website using Mozilla Composer. Is there such an animal?

I did find this post about using Dreamweaver ( http://wordpress.org/support/topic/28762?replies=11#post-161745), but it's too technical for me to follow.

    Thanks in advance.

Nope, there is no such animal. Yet. There is some work in progress - search for "canvas".

    Me again.
Perhaps I'm looking for a theme that allows widgets? The blog I want to change is using a c3ro theme, which isn't on the widget-ready list.

Every well-coded theme can be made "widget-ready".
See the links in the dev blog post: http://wordpress.org/development/2006/03/widgets-plugin/

Thanks, Moshu. Canvas looks promising, but the explanation of how to convert an existing theme is still pretty technical; ironic considering that it's the coding dummies like me who are most likely to want this product, but not be able to figure out how to use it.

I will also look into the widgets.
