I am a first time wordpress user. Would I be correct in assuming the wysiwyg editor should be wrapping? My html edit is wrapping but my wysiwyg one is not. How do I debug this or fix this?
thanks,
Dean

Yes - providing you are not entering any hard line breaks or code.
Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
ah, I solved it....doing a cut and paste from notepad caused that issue. If I write the whole post in wordpress it works just fine but after the cut and paste, it really screwed up that entry :(
This is getting really annoying. I can't cut and paste from anywhere as it breaks the wysywig :(. Can someone else try cut and pasting and see how it works for them....as soon as I do, it stops wrapping immediately for any other text I type :(.
There are two small buttons in the editor, called Paste as Plain Text, and Paste from Word.
Try using those, and see if it still happens.
you rock, there was actually a button hide/show kitchen sink and those buttons were hidden in there...that fixed and better because there is a remove line breaks checkbox so I can get my typed up blog off notepad into there AND remove all the linebreaks as well which was nice!!!! thanks!!!!!
Glad it helped! ;)
