When you want to change a post with the WYSIWYG editor as administrator and the title of the posting has special characters – the editor displays the line as HTML code:

    Example: “Technorati läuft” is displayed as “Technorati l & u u m l ; uft”

  • Have you tried turning off the WYSIWYG editor? Look under “users” – you can turn it off by unselecting “Use the visual rich editor when writing” at the bottom of the users page.

Yes I tried that – same result. The title contains HTML code for special characters. But in the message body everything is ok.

Sorry for the false alarm – I found the problem. It’s BlogDesk (write blog texts offline) which sends the text in HTML-code. If I write a text online in the administration editor everything is ok.
