    I am new to WP and would like to have the WYSIWYG feature for writing posts, but I don’t seem to be able to find out how to make it visble. This means that all my post have to be written in HTML about which I know even less so I have to keep looking up the various commands as I progress.
    I am using a free theme that I downloaded so I don’t know if that makes any difference.

    under Admin, in the left click the Users button and edit your user. See if Don’t Use Visual Editor is checked

    Thank you for your reply however I have checked and the Visual Editor is not disabled.
