   I have done this before at my server but suddenly this has failed on me. The WXR file isn't big I got error 'failed to write to disk'. I have chmod wp-content folder to 777 what else could be wrong?

   Help please! Nobody is using WXR import or is it just me having this problem?

   I am having this problem too. I tried the import/export route when an upgrade failed and I followed the same steps as you. My WXR XML is smaller than the max upload but there's no documentation about the error I am seeing:

   Import WordPress
   Sorry, there has been an error.
   Failed to write file to disk.
