Hi I am getting a number of emails from new users that the keep in touch link (rss feed ) link on http://www.davidfirth.com( in nav bar at top)
just comes up with code .
One AOL user and several IE users. Now I havent established yet which ver. of IE they are using.It works fine for me in IE7 but I dont know about AOL browsers due to not having an account. I have read something about AOL relating to DNS issues but not sure what thats about.
Re. IE issues - could some kind someone check my blog using IE6 to see if they come up with the dreaded code.
Does anyone have any ideas as its doing my head in

That's normal - that's what a RSS feed looks like.
Users are supposed to view it through a feed reader, like Google Reader, SharpReader, Thunderbird, etc. The feed reader formats the output for humans to read it.
It just so happens that one of the neat features of Firefox is that it has a built in feed reader. I guess IE7 does too, but I don't use it...
To check your blog in IE you can use an online browser tester/checker.
Hack about on Google. There are loads out there.

I think it clears up my worries and enables me to blame microsoft (again) and not my or WP's coding. !!!
If you click on that link - it shows code, of course. It does the same in FF and IE. What else do you expect?

what do you mean it shows code?? when cick on rss link using ie7 it works - when I click on rss link using ie6 it doesnt!!!!

No offence, but you're not getting this. The code is what the rss feed really looks like (as I said above). You aren't supposed to look at in a browser, you're supposed to look at it in a feedreader (like Google Reader).
As it happens, newer browsers such as Firefox 2.0 and IE7 (but NOT IE6) have built in feed viewers so that you see a feedreader-like view instead of the code.
IE6 doesn't have this, so you see the feed itself. The feed is exactly the same in both cases. Hope this make sense.

Stephen thanks for replying...no offence taken. My experience of rss links in WP and else where has been limited. So the first time I used rss has been when using firefox. So on receiving emails saying rss link not working in IE6 it was a new one ..to me. I couldnt go around all my clients clients saying have to update or use google etc so I found an alternative!
