Updated, via the links in other postings, to v.2.7.1. Still getting the “wrong slider” message.”

Followed all of the various tips and tricks (chmod 777, etc.), still getting “wrong slider.”

Tried to upload sliders using the folder option, by making the slides available in “/wp-content/plugins/wowslider/import/” and I get the “wrong slider” message.

Use to have very little problems with this plugin. And I not too long ago purchased a license for your WowSlider product, which now doesn’t work for me, because the plugin doesn’t work for me.

When will this be resolved? Because despite your efforts, it isn’t at this point.

Please, make sure that you use the latest version of WOWSlider – 2.8.
Remove previous plugin and install this one:

I’m confused. You’re saying that I should install WowSlider – 2.8, but then providing a link to 2.7.1, which I’ve already previously installed. However, to be thorough, I uninstalled the previous plugin (2.7.1) and installed the plugin via your link (2.7.1), and am still getting the “wrong slider” message.

Is there a 2.8 I should be trying?

Please, check the rights for directories:
    – Wp-content/uploads/wow-slider-plugin /
    – Wp-content/uploads/wow-slider-plugin/import / (if available)
    Set 777 permission.

After proper installation of version 2.7.1 there shouldn’t be the directory “/ wp-content/plugins/wowslider/import /” there.

Try to use “Import from Folder” method. Copy generated module to “./wp-content/uploads/wow-slider-plugin/import/” folder and click “Import from Folder” button.

As I noted in my first post, I’ve done all of this already. All of it. Including making my slides available in “/wp-content/uploads/wow-slider-plugin/import/” and clicking the “Import from Folder” button. However, I tried this method again (just to be sure I didn’t make any mistakes) and am still receiving “wrong slider.”

And I should add that after I click the “import from folder” button and get the “wrong slider” message, it deletes whatever slides existed in “/wp-content/uploads/wow-slider-plugin/import/”.

After going back through all of this, I’ve noted my mistake. My WowSlider was not 2.8, but an older version. After updating all seems to be working again. Thanks you for your time.

If it needs 2.8 to work why is 2.8 not available as the download in the WP?

I have just activated the version from the link above and still get “Wrong Slider”. I do still have the folder Wp-content/uploads/wow-slider-plugin/import/

I have set the permissions to 777 and I have tried the import method. Still says “Wrong Slider”. I am getting fed up of this, especially as I paid for the pro version and it doesn’t work. And support requests are unanswered….

The latest version of plugin is 2.7.1. You can download it here:
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wowslider/developers/

2.8 is version of desktop application.

I am using the most recent version WOW Slider WordPress plugin, having just upgraded to version 3.0 of the plugin.

I am using the latest version of WordPress, version 3.5.1.

I also upgraded to WOW Slider for Windows version 3.0, running on Windows 7.

I am unable to import sliders using the “Add New Slider” function in WordPress. When I try to upload a slider, I get an error message at the top of the page that says “Wrong slider.”

When I try to import a slider using the “Import from folder” function, I get the following error message:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /usr/www/users/terrance/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wowslider/api.php on line 109

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /usr/www/users/terrance/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wowslider/api.php:109) in /usr/www/users/terrance/wordpress/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 876

The sliders I’ve already uploaded work fine, but I can’t upload any new sliders.

I must add that I’ve been trying to use WOW Slider for a short while now, and I’ve never been able to get it to work the way it’s supposed to.

    Me too!!!

I have searched the WowSlider website for a download link to get the 2.8 version of the desktop application.

I cannot find one anywhere. I downloaded the free version again thinking I might get the chance to input my license number and get the full product. I cannot find such an option.

So now I have a free version on my computer even though I have paid good money for the pro version.

I have had enough of this software and want a refund.

    1) It’s impossible to register free version. This information was added many times on our website.
    2) “Wrong slider” problem was fixed. Sorry for inconvenience.
Please download the latest version of WOWSlider app. from the same link as previous one. Use the same reg. key. It’ll generate modules with corrected version of plugin.

I am fully aware it is impossible to register the free software. That was not my question.

I no longer care if the ‘Wrong Slider’ issue is fixed. I have paid for a pro version of this product and all I have is the free version.

I have reinstalled the ‘new’ plugin enough times now without success.
This software has not worked since I bought it.

I would like a refund straight away.

Then you’ll need to take that conversation somewhere else. Refund discussions (or any commercial transactions) are not for these forums.

After updating all seems to be working again. Thanks you for your time.

As the original poster indicated that his issue was solved over a month ago, I am closing this topic.
