I'm creating a website for a research project at my company. We are hosting through iPower and I initially tried using their Drag and Drop builder to construct the site, but I didn't like it and decided to do it through WordPress instead. Everything works wonderfully except for the home page. Whenever I click the "visit this site" button on the Dashboard, it doesn't display the home page that I've created, it displays something that I had messed around with (and thought I deleted) in the iPower builder. I don't know how to reset it so that it sees my WordPress homepage as the homepage. I am also asking iPower about this, I'm not sure who will know what the glitch is.

Please let me know if I should post more information or any code.

Where did you install WordPress on the domain?

I installed it through the iPower control panel.

Yes but where on your domain?

I'm pretty sure I installed it to the root domain folder...I don't have to add /wordpress to anything to see the other pages. In fact when I add that to it, it says the page can't be found.

Is that what you're asking? I'm new to this, if that wasn't obvious.

Have you removed any index.html file in the domain's root folder?

    I don't believe so...should I?

Yes - if that is where you have installed WordPress. It uses index.php - not index.html

Okay, thanks! I doesn't go to my old iPower page anymore, but now it just goes to a WordPress page that says "page not found." Do you know how I can make the domain name go to the home page I've designed?

Thanks so much for your help.

Have you published any Posts yet? Do you intend to have Posts on your site's front page?

I don't, they will all just be static pages.

In that case, have a look at creating a static front page.
