When ever I type a new entry up and then publish it, when I view my site the side bar goes down everytime I make new posts. How can I make the side bar stay in one position under my header image?

When ever I type a new entry up and then publish it, when I view my site the side bar goes down everytime I make new posts. How can I make the side bar stay in one position under my header image?
