When I try to post to my blog, my browser prompts me to download post.php after the I hit the submit button. Strange! I also see 2 posts instead of 1 post.

I am using the default template, no plugins, on a firefox browser. I don't understand why this is happening..

If you visit Options -> Writing, then scroll down a bit, what do you have in the "Update Services" box?

Is pingomatic one of them? What happens if you remove it?

I fixed the problem with the no ping wait plugin:

It seems like my 55 ping URLs were screwing something up.

I was having the same problem...but I had replaced my wp-login.php with a hacked one that was supposed to keep me logged in. Put back the old one and it fixed this problem. If you've changed anything you might want to backtrack.

I'm still getting this problem, apparently when WP tries to send trackbacks. An official statement on this would be dandy (and before anyone starts crying about searching the forums, I am... that's how I found this)
