I'm having no luck finding answers to my question, which is this: Where can I get guidance to writing my own widget? On my webpage http://www.tamiasoutside.com, I've installed Weather Gadget. I'd like to write a widget to replace this so I can link to a different weather site. I've tried searching this forum as well as the web but have no luck. Any help is appreciated.

Also take the existing widget and look at what it is doing.

I agree, the best way is to look at some simple plugins and learn from it ^^

Thanks very much for the pointers and tips, folks. ANd I'm sorry to be so long extending my thanks -- been working overtime and had no chance to follow up on this.

I tried modifying the widget I've got installed on my site but it's one of the google widgets and I can't seem to make it work if I make substantive changes. I'll try to build one up specifically.

    Thanks again.
