I am trying to add a tag cloud on its own separate page. I created a new page in the admin client and I am supposed to drop code inside the loop of this new page/template I created. Where is this page located? I don't think it is in the theme and I can't find a page that matches the "page title" in the admin client. Thanks.

You have to create the template:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages#Page_Templates

When you've done that, you create the Page at Dashboard -> Write -> Page

    Hope this helps,

ok, read everything! i thought i could do this after reading it but i return back to my same question?

    1) codex says i have to create a file to create a template. how/where do i create a file first?

can i do it with dreamweaver where i can see my all my files? pick a file, do a "save as a template" sort of thing? if so, that does not put that file into my template drop menu in admin/write/write page. sorry, a little brain cramp here...

ok. i went to admin/manage/files. i could "edit" wp-atom.php without a problem if i chose to. but when i tried to edit "themes/3c-black-letterhead/tag_cloud.php" which is a "template" i made with dreamweaver, wp said it does not exist. i also see this file on my ftp client and permissions are set = 644. but i don't see it in the template dropdown menu in admin/write/page. i "think" i am supposed to see it there - refer to my first post=cloud tag page. hopefully, in the not-so-distant future i will duh, that was simple!

ok, i am still in the dark about the above but progress is being made, i think. i created an "top-50 tag" page via write page in the dashboard. where/how do i add php code to this page so i get a tag cloud as i don't really understand where the files reside. i found a nice new plugin called "simply tagging" that is a turbo-charge UTW.

note: "simply tagging" is described as a "turbo charged" (my words) UTW/Jerome's Keywords plug-in. It's new, it says it talks to v2.1. The user interface, support, and documentation is friendlier (my opinion). Sorry for the reckless above non-expert mention. I mentioned it as it may affect the resolution of my issues.

the last two posts, you are hearing the end of an eight-hour excursion into my issue. i am through for the evening.
