I have just installed WPTouch 3.1.4 and now my site will only display the desktop version on my mobile (android) device. And despite checking the option to have a desktop/mobile switch displayed on the mobile site, there is no switch present.

Did you upgrade from an older version of WPtouch or was this a clean install? We've seen occasional issues where an upgrade has caused hiccups – typically clearing WPtouch's settings takes care of that.

Alternatively, if you're running a cache plugin, you might check if it is correctly configured to pass mobile requests through to WPtouch: http://www.bravenewcode.com/support/knowledgebase/optimizing-caching-plugins-for-mobile-use/.

If neither of those are applicable, please post the URL for your site and we'll take a look.

Yes, we've been running WPTouch from sometime and have been installing the updates as they have been received.

We're currently running WP Super Cache with WPTouch enabled in the set up.

Unfortunately WP Super Cache's WPtouch 'compatibility' function only works with version 1.x – we enhanced the way we handle device handling in WPtouch 3 and they haven't yet caught up.

As a result, their mobile/desktop cache handling is currently broken. You may want to post in their support forums to encourage them to revise their plugin.
