[resolved] WPTouch and WooCommerce (14 posts)

    So I have a WordPress site that is using WooCommerce, and I'm having an issue with the store pages on mobile.

    Basically, the vast majority of the WooCommerce pages work perfectly (My account, checkout, cart inspection, etc). However, for the store and individual product pages, things are weird. The page content is not framed in a box like the other WPTouch pages, and fills the entire view (making it look really messy). Additionally, after the store/product content, it shows the sitemap and archive fields (which is really weird because I don't have those in my actual sidebar).

    What's causing this? How do I fix it? It's particularly frustrating because so much of the site works perfectly.

    Many eCommerce plugins are not optimized for use with smaller screens. Their layouts tend to use fixed dimensions. By definition, fixed dimensions override any scaling capabilities of iOS or WPtouch. Choose to use flexible dimensions whenever possible to allow page elements to resize for various mobile screen sizes. You may also add custom styling to your mobile theme to force flexible dimensions on those page elements.

    You may add custom styling in the Stats & Custom Code area of your WPtouch admin panel. The tool tip there will give you additional information if you want to use a stylesheet otherwise simply include your custom CSS inside <style></style> tags.

    How to optimize WooCommerce for display on mobiel devices? Cause in my case, WPTouch displays my pages, but does not display any of the WooCommerce pages at all.

    @ninelives1980, your site may be using advanced functionality such as custom page templates or custom post types in order to display your store's content. WPtouch Pro is built to accommodate advanced desktop theme functionality such as custom post types, custom page templates, and shortcodes but the free version is not.

    Okay, do I get to try out the paid version for 1 day or something before signing up? The reason I'm asking is cos I just bought a USD 27 theme which didn't work, so I do not wanna repeat the same mistake and having to go through the hassle of asking for refund.

    My desktop theme is displaying perfectly on mobile - but the plugin 'WooCommerce' (a shopping cart system) is not. My site is at http://songspursuit.com/

    Kindly confirm if the plugin will be displayed properly (currently the plugin does not display at all when viewed on mobile device) - then I'll make my purchase promptly- and would there be a complete refund if it doesn't resolve my issue after me installing it?

    So, i just found a post where you said it'll work fine, though the person who asked the question didn't feedback/update as to whether it did work for him/her after purchasing WPtouch Pro (if he/she did purchase it that is).

    Hi, haven't hear from you as yet, so I thought of writing as follow-up - had this idea of whether there's a trial version that I could convert to paid version (to be able to try at least for some 3 minutes to look at how my desktop theme renders on a mobile device before purchasing the paid version).

    WPtouch Pro comes with a 7-day trial period during which you may request a full refund for any reason. Although many customers successfully implement WPtouch Pro with their various ecommerce solutions, WPtouch Pro does not officially support ecommerce plugins due to their great variances. We suggest you take advantage of the trial period to seek support with your installation. You may find that you're able to adjust the store pages' styling easily and be satisfied with the results. If not, just request a refund with 7 days.

    You're welcome. Be sure to open a support ticket if you need help with setup or experience any issues at all with WPtouch Pro.

    @ninelives1980, it seems you've already gotten your styling issues worked out, but here's some css which helped my client's site, SavorAnnArbor.com look better when using both woocommerce and wptouch:

    body.archive.woocommerce div.page-wrapper #container {
    	padding: 10px 20px;
    }

    body.archive.woocommerce div.page-wrapper div#sidebar, body.archive.woocommerce .woocommerce-breadcrumb, body.archive.woocommerce .woocommerce-result-count, body.archive.woocommerce  .woocommerce-ordering,
    body.single-product div.page-wrapper div#sidebar, body.single-product .woocommerce-breadcrumb, body.single-product .woocommerce-result-count, body.single-product  .woocommerce-ordering {
    	display: none;
    }

    /*PRODUCT DISPLAYS*/

    .woocommerce div.product div.images, .woocommerce #content div.product div.images, .woocommerce-page div.product div.images, .woocommerce-page #content div.product div.images {
    	float: NONE;
    	width: 100%;
    }

    .woocommerce div.product div.summary, .woocommerce #content div.product div.summary, .woocommerce-page div.product div.summary, .woocommerce-page #content div.product div.summary {
    float: NONE;
    width: 95%;
    margin-Bottom: 1em;
    padding: 0 20px;
    }

    hope that helps.

    hello, i'm using woocommerce and would like to be readable on phone and tablets. I have on the homepage a slider rending very bad on small resolution (show only half of it) on the preview of wptouch .
    Where should I put the css you offer just before ?
    the website using woocommerce : Chic and Cheap

    Is wptouch the best solution for a site like mine ?

    Thanks
