Dear WP Forum
It should go without saying that I am relatively new to all this. I'm hoping someone out there might be able to steer me in the right direction. I recently transferred my WP files to their own directory (its own folder, yes?). I was wanting my blog address to be http://www.example.com/blog. I followed the instructions I found in the WP Codex support. I moved the core files to the new location and copied the index.php from the WordPress directory into the root directory of my site. This means the original index.php still needs to be in the new WordPress directory, yes? I did not find any .htaccess files. Is that a bad thing?
My data appears intact, but it seems that everything from my themes to even the dashboard has lost its appearance. All I have on my blog & the dashboard is black text on a white background with blue links. I've deleted all the cookies relating to my blog and that hasn't helped. I sure would appreciate it if anyone out there knows what I missed.
Terry
