$wpdb non-object error

    Hey, I am getting this error:
    Fatal error: Call to a member function show_errors() on a non-object in /home3/onezess5/public_html/ETG/wp-content/plugins/broker-uploader/update.php on line 8 for the below code. I am trying to make a plugin that pulls the data from a form and puts it into a table. This is taken from the action file, eg <form action="update.php">
