I wonder if this Redirection Plugin will als help with my case.
I currently have a shirls.wordpress.com wordpress blog. I am considering purchase a domain (msshirls.com) and hosted it somewhere else. I will then install wordpress in my new host. So, I want to redirect my shirls.wordpress.com to msshirls.com.
Does this Redirect Plugin help with my case without needing me to purchase the Domain Mapping Upgrade with wordpress.com? With this redirection, will I losee my pagerank with shirls.wordpress.com?

The redirect plugin I use can go to non-wp pages but it only happens once you login. There's other ones that only take off the www so users link to the same place thus increasing your search engine rank. I haven't found one that fits your needs.
