I suspect, though didn't dig into the code, that the sort by name length for wp_get_links sorts before the special characters like ' and , are changed from their code to symbols. My reasoning, check out my friends listing in the menu (http://josiah.ritchietribe.net/blog/) and notice that the 2 names with those characters in them are mis-placed. Sorry if this has already been mentioned or even fixed in the beta.

Can anyone confirm this?
(I have 2 categories called, one inverted, so I get the "U" curve rather then the straight slant in my example mentioned above, but you should see what I mean anyway.)
