WP3.5 Image Gallery Not Respecting Photo Order

    Upgraded to WordPress 3.5. Overall no complaints aside from the gallery being kind of a pain to use and having frequent errors uploading photos. More annoyingly, it’s not respecting the drag-and-drop order I specify. I used to be able to sort it by date, title or a specified order but I can’t find those options now. The photos in the gallery are not in the order I put them in (this post is an example: http://www.fiftytwocakes.com/pumpkin-spice-cookies-cream-cheese-icing). Am I missing something on how to get the gallery to respect the order of photos I put them in?

    Also, it’s got a duplicate photo showing on the front-end of the gallery, but when I go to Edit the gallery to remove it, it’s not showing. So that’s fun. Would really appreciate some insight here.

    Help! I’m having the same issue – the WordPress 3.5 gallery (besides being impossible to use drag and drop productively on a small screen) just refuses to display the newly added images in the order that I drag and drop them into. No matter what happens the new images still just sit right at the top of the gallery! I have tried changing all of the params like orderby=”x”, and tried re-ordering and even removing the image ID’s added by the 3.5 gallery editor.

    For reference the gallery in question can be seen here: http://beauoverlookcottage.com/photos. The issue is with those first 8 images in the gallery, no matter where I move them, they just stay in that same position. The rest of the images were re-orded successfully in a previous WP version, and continue to stay that way, as all new images are just added to the top of the gallery.
