   I installed 3.3 once this morning and it gave me a failed message, but still carried on the installation.
   Here is the error message:
   Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/wordpress-3.3-no-content.zip…

   Unpacking the update…

   Verifying the unpacked files…

   Installing the latest version…

   Warning: copy(/home/patmcluk/public_html/wp-cron.php) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/patmcluk/public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-direct.php on line 200

   Could not copy file.: /home/patmcluk/public_html/wp-cron.php

   Installation Failed

   I then had a look at the support forums and deactivated ALL my plugins, then re-installed and got the same error message.

   Any ideas?

   Try doing a manual upgrade by using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides. Seems there are some permission problems on your server.

   Okay its fixed. My host blocked my cron.php file temporarily a year ago and forgot to unblock it!
