Does a feed of new sites created on multisite installs exist by default? It would be pretty good to have a widget on the home page displaying new sites created.
Even just a list of sites would do.

While I haven't tested it, I can't think why it shouldn't work.
Oh yeah, one more thought:
pulling feeds of internal sites across the network is *really* resource intensive. You wouldn't notice much on a half-dozen blogs, but as you get bigger, your site will slow down. Then crash. :D
