First off, apologies if this has been covered but I can't find it if it has.
I recently upgraded my WP site (daryldean.com) to WP 2.2.
Since that time I configured an Addon Domain (I have a CPanel host) and installed WP 2.2 into there.
The addon domain actually points to a subdirectory of my main account. It is directly accessible from it's own domain name without using a subdirectory name on it.
It all worked fine for a couple of days while I was setting things up in the new blog and adding pages and posts and such and then I added one more new post and the site died.
By "died", I mean every page returns a blank after a very long wait. I cannot log into wp-admin, as it does the same thing.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times on this addon domain - even manually, and even with different versions - and even though it all starts off well, as soon as I edit the "Hello World" post or make a new one the blog dies.
This evening, I've just tried to put a new post on my main blog and it has bit the biscuit as well.
If it means anything to anyone, it looks as though something is happening in the database, as if I back that up, reinstall (with same settings) and restore, it breaks right after the restore.
So, I don't know what to do. I did read one post that said a ping service might be timing out or not responding and thus hanging PHP...if that's likely, where can I manually remove that as I can't get into admin?
I have heaps of available disk and database space in my hosting account.
I suppose I can only hope that someone has seen this before. Thanks for any assistance.
