WP with Dreamweaver (4 posts)

Hello, I have been using Dreamweaver to develop several web sites and have XAMPP loaded on my laptop with Apache/2.2.11, MySQL 5.0.51a, PHPMyAdmin 3.1.3.1. That all works fine and I have no desire to change it at this point, despite it not being

    cutting edge
    .
I am now looking to put together a site with a blog, etc, and will be installing WP using Softaculous through my domain host. I would feel far more comfortable if I knew that installing WP will not adversely affect my tried and trusted development methods.
    While I'm a technically-oriented person, I'm not a
    web-head
, and I don't (with respect) wish to know how someone has found another way of doing what I am already doing with Dreamweaver, please.
Once I know it's safe to put a toe in the WP water, I'll be back for more, no doubt!
    Thank you.

And your question is? Can you use Dreamweaver? Sure why not, any code editor will do.

as I am not knowing how you use Dreamweaver for your development, I can only second @Christine, insofar as Dreamweaver makes a perfect editor for all wordpress templates.

I personally use a Xampp local install and Dreamweaver as editor; the syntax check helps a lot to avoid errors ;-).
