WP-Upgrade and Dashboard Problems (2 posts)

A couple of nights ago I wanted to use the Bing Developer Tools and, in order to do so, I had to put in a clip of code into the header. I did that and then went to my dashboard and the incoming links, wordpress blog, wordpress news and plugins sections would not load. I immediately went back and removed the code snippet from the header just in case that was the reason for the problem.

No dice. Maybe it's just a coincidence that the dashboard started going wacky once I used the Bing code snippet, I don't know. Well, last night I tried to automatically upgrade to 2.8.4 and all I got, and still get, is this: Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/wordpress-2.8.4.zip. AHHHH!

What is going on and how can I fix it?

Never mind, I was able to figure it out by Googling it. Having 1and1 as my host the Automatic Upgrade feature doesn't exactly work perfectly well all the time. You need to put in a snippet of code into the .htaccess to make it work. Here's the page I used to fix it:
