I've just tried to manually upgrade a wordpress blog & uploaded the wrong wp-config file. I've realising my mistake I've reuploaded the right one & now Its asking me to install WP from scratch. (I'm back to the screen where it asks for the blog title)
The blog is http://www.aboutsal.com - my main concern is that someone can write over the blog.
Really would welcome help
Check the database name and table prefix in your wp-config.php file. One (or both) of these doesn't match your install. There is little danger of over-writing your existing db as the install process will abort when it finds a pre-populated database containing tables with the same prefix as that supplied in the wp-config.php file.
