WP theme admin running very slow

    Hi,

    I recently purchased the Bazar theme for woocomerce as it was rated very highly and had lots of sales.

    Problem is since installing the theme and sample data the site and WP admin is running very very slowly. I compare it side by side with another of my WP installations and it its 3 or 4 times as slow loading pages, dashboard tab etc.

    I have asked for support from the theme developers but havnt had much help.

    Is is just bad coding of the theme thats sowing down my WP admin (and site) or is there something i can do to get it running fast?

    These forums don’t support commercial themes, so it’s unlikely we can help you with a theme issue. You could try using a site like http://gtmetrix.com/ to look at what’s causing slowness.

    Hi thanks for the comment.

    The question is not related to the theme specifically.

    It is whether any theme, commercial or not, if coded badly can slow down the WP admin signifcantly? And if anything can be done to speed up the WP admin pages?

    Yes – a theme can slow a site down. Try changing the theme to 2012 and see if that helps.
