WP-Table Reloaded No Button on Toolbar

    Hi All,

    I am using the WP-Table Reloaded 1.3 plugin on WordPress 2.8 however I dont see any Table button on my toolbar. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there something I need to activate to make this happen?

    Hi,

    You’re probably using the Visual editor, right?

    The “Table” button is only available on the regular HTML editor right now, but not in the visual editor (called TinyMCE).
    (It’s very hard to add a button to TinyMCE as it is not nicely pluggable from within a WordPress plugin.)

    So, if you want to use the visual editor, you’ll have to add the shortcode by hand at the moment (which also isn’t too hard, I think). Sorry.

    Thanks for your prompt response. I understand now that the table button is only accessible in HTML view, thanks for the explanation.

    Hoepfully, getting the table button onto the visual editor toolbar wont be too hard in future.
