• We installed wp-super-cache about two months ago and ever since then our website has been crashing about once a week and three times in the last week!!

What happens is that all the categories and tags disappear giving us a blank homepage, then within a few minutes the whole this crashes and it says there is a database connection error.

Our host server doesn’t seem to know much about what is causing this but I have a feeling it’s the wp-super-cache as it didn’t crash before we installed it.

Does anyone know if this could be causing the problem? If so, how do we fix it? Or is there another caching program we could try?

Any help would be appreciated and we are going crazy dealing with this every few days!!

    Thank you 🙂

  • First thing to do is check the readme.txt, the troubleshooting section in particular. Then check your PHP error logs and if possible use the debug system in the plugin though that probably will be hard to do as the problem is random.

You could try another caching plugin – w3tc, hypercache are 2 but there are lots of other ones.
