Hi
I recently switched from wordpress.com to wordpress.org.I've installed WP-Stats version 2.5 and WP-Stats-Dashboard v.1.6.3 but have been unable to make them start recording stats at all. My site is http://alisonbate.ca
I've dug out the API key from my wordpress.com blog. I've also deactivated all other plug-ins except for Akismeet, in case that was causing problems.
I have successfully pointed my domain name at my new server (DreamHost), and installed a new theme, and the new blog itself is working fine. My old blog still exists at http://alisonbate.wordpress.com.
Any suggestions?
Hi,
My suggestion is to use the latest version of both plugins.
Step 1: Install this plugin first: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/stats/
Step 2: Follow its instructions, enter api key, add blog to your wordpress.com account etc.
Step 3: Install the latest version of wp-stats-dashboard
Step 4: Enter username and password in the wp-stats-dashboard settings and check all boxes.
Let me know of this works for you. If this works for you please resolve this topic.
Cheers,
Dave

I too just had mine fail when I tried to update it.
Downloading install package from http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/stats.1.6.3.zip.
Unpacking the package.
Installing the plugin.
Destination folder already exists. /home4/*************/public_html/******************/wp-content/plugins/stats/
Plugin Install Failed.
Any suggestions?

A couple of questions. First, I'm running worpress.org, not .com. How do I find an API on my .org site?
Second, how do I install this site stat ap on a .org site?
Thanks for the help!
