WP specific post type

Hey,

I want to build a wordpress template with a scheme similiar to:
http://bootstraptaste.com/theme/amoeba/

While I don’t have a problem with including specific parts like contact page, about us etc. I do have an issue with creating that portfolio elements.

I thought that it could be a specific post type but it should contain:
Image background, headline, description, fontawesome ico

how to approach that? thanks!
