   Hi Camu,

   I just migrated my site to a new server, and Slimstat is throwing two types of errors that were actually causing the site to time-out until I disabled slimstat!

   Here is what the Apache error log says:

   [Wed Apr 20 10:20:14 2011] [error] [client 206.130.174.43] PHP Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to updates.browserproject.com:80 (Connection timed out) in /home/icp/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/browscap.php on line 589
   [Wed Apr 20 10:20:14 2011] [error] [client 206.130.174.43] PHP Warning: file_put_contents(/home/icp/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/cache/cache.php) [function.file-put-contents]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/icp/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/browscap.php on line 366

   Is there an easy fix for these? Am I missing something on the new server? Should I just re-install slimstat?

   Yes, the easy fix is to disable the AUTOUPDATE option in the corresponding panel in WP SlimStat. My plugin is trying to contact the server to download a newer version of the browsers' definition file, but the server is down or your server doesn't allow fsockopen.
