WP SEO and WP Ecommerce editing title tags and meta descriptions (3 posts)

    Hello,

I have got the latest version of WP ecommerce installed and noticed there isn't really anywhere to edit the title tag and meta description properly for the products. So I installed WP SEO to get the title tags and meta descriptions to show on the products... but they don't.

When I open a product for editing, then go down to the WordPress SEO by Yoast section and add a title and meta description then update it still doesn't show when I visit that product and view the meta info in the source code.

I certainly can't be the only SEO concerned user with this problem????

So my question of course is:

How do I get the WP SEO title tags and meta descriptions to show on the product pages of the site?

    Thanks for you help.

    Mark

I was able to get the title of the products to show in the Titles setting page, using the Wpsc-product page type.

I am having the same problem as masgobal. Page titles for wpsc-products at a category or single page level are not picking up the default titles I enter into the Yoast SEO plugin. Checking force rewrite does not make any difference. Adding the title manually at a category or product level does not seem to carry through into the page title either.
Check out Juliet's Closet to see an example. It should read Dresses | Juliet's Closet if it were picking up the info from the plugin correctly.

Has anyone else found this, and even better has anyone else found a solution to it?

    Thanks for your help,

    Jo.
