[resolved] WP Remote deleted all the plugins after installation (3 posts)

We signed up for a WP remote account and tried to add the sites of our clients to monitor them remotely. After successfully installing it in 5 sites, the latest site I installed the WP Remote plugin, it wiped out all the plugins installed.

Here is a screenshot of the plugin page - http://screencast.com/t/BrfXsRex
Its showing none of the other plugin that were currently there either active or inactive. But upon checking via ftp, the plugin files were still there. I tried to reinstall the lost plugins but I can't and its giving me this error - "Destination folder already exists".

I deactivated and deleted the WP Remote plugin hoping it will go back to normal but it didn't. Now my site does not recognize all the files that are in the plugins folder. The WP version I installed the plugin was 3.5.1

Has this happened to anyone before? Any help is very much appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hi Daryl,

Sorry to hear that! We haven't heard of this happening before — very odd.

Can you open a new support ticket with us so we can take a look at your setup? Our email address is support@wpremote.com. You can also open a support thread from the "Feedback" link in the upper right of WP Remote when you're logged in).

I've had the same problem in the past. I believe I had to delete the files via FTP, then reinstall them. Fortunately, most or all settings should be saved in the database, so you shouldn't lose any data.
